Let's team up to end hunger and homelessness for our Union County neighbors.
We invite you to join the Community Shelter Super Stars campaign and make a lasting impact on our neighbors in need. Super Stars is a quick & easy fundraising campaign lasting June 1 to June 22, 2023. Each participant is asked to raise $1,000. You can raise money any way you like – have fun with it! Don’t worry; we’ll give you fundraising materials and information on the vital work of the Community Shelter to help with your fundraising.
Each Super Star – whether Super Star, Leader, Co-chair, or Chair – will be recognized in a color ad in Union County Weekly and The Enquirer-Journal newspapers with their photo or their company logo. You’ll also be featured on our website, in social media postings, and in our electronic newsletter and will receive some cool Shelter gear.
As a fundraiser, you are making an ENORMOUS difference in the lives of thousands of Union County neighbors. All proceeds stay in Union County and directly support our programs.
When: June 1 – June 22, 2023, is the fundraising timeframe. All proceeds turned in by June 23, 2023.
How: Here’s how the campaign works. Our honorary Chair Sheriff Cathey and volunteer Co-Chairs are forming teams of Super Star Leaders, who commit to raising $1,000 and to securing three Super Stars to raise $1,000.
As a Super Star, all you have to do is have fun meeting your $1,000 goal. You can come up with a multitude of ideas to raise money – make it fun. Things like bake sales, car washes, letter-writing campaigns to friends and family, hosting a dinner, holding a raffle, asking businesses to sponsor you, holding a social media fundraising campaign, throwing a party, or having a yard sale. The ideas are endless.
